While the course covers the basics of a 1031 exchanges such as defining like-kind, exchange eligible property, exploring different types of 1031 exchanges and reviewing the rules and timelines of an exchange, these 1031 basics are jumping off point to explore more in depth, sometimes complicated, 1031 issues that are common to commercial transactions:

• Bartell Exchanges 
• Related Party Exchanges 
• And So Much More

This class will better enable agents to guide their clients through the 1031 process. Agents will not only learn the basics of 1031, but also leave with an enhanced understanding of the economics of the exchange, and why the math/economics is in fact our clients’ the primary motivation for exchanging.
