Barry is native to Austin, beginning his real estate career as an investor when he bought his first home in south Austin (1980) at the age of 18. By the time he was 21 he owned 4 SF properties and 1 duplex. Barry also spent 25 years at Albertsons, 6 years at Home Depot. When he sold his first property and made $27k (age 21) he realized that real estate OWNERSHIP paid much more than retail. He began to pursue his CCIM designation in 1984, as a 23 year old, he cherished knowledge in evaluating income producing properties. Barry is a unique Realtor in the fact that he doesn't specialize in a single type of commercial real estate, he's sold apartments, office, industrial, retail, self-storage, marinas,  mobile-home parks and land. He has studied and played a part of the Central Texas real estate market now for 40+ years. By utilizing the CCIM Institute, Barry now can consult in site acquisition, income analysis, and an overall opinion of this constantly changing market. He sponsors one Realtor (12 years)Nate Hantgin and can help with residential real estate ventures and ownership. Barry calls Lakeway "home" he designed and built his latest homestead where he will continue to reside. REAL ESTATE has always been Barry's true passion.
